Trauma Education Programs

The hospital will be conducting Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) course for nurses and other professionals in early 2019 which will be open to employees and professionals from other institutions. The hospital is also an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training site. The Professional Development Department also conducts NCC, ACLS, PALS and BLS courses. A nursing simulation lab is utilized to train and educate in various clinical tasks. Surgical and orthopedic residents from New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and NYU Langone Hospitals respectively rotate through this hospital to gain first-hand clinical experience treating trauma victims.
