Our hospitals have implemented a comprehensive strike plan to ensure all services remain open to our community. Jamaica Hospital’s Injury Prevention Coordinator, Alex Ariza, and Stroke Coordinator, Abigail Hasan, participated in the NY Hall of Science’s High School Health Fair to raise awareness about distracted walking, bullying, and high blood pressure.

Two demographics were present at the event: pre-teens aged 11-13 and parents (late 30’s and older). Abigail Hasan provided blood pressure and blood sugar screenings for the adults. Alex Ariza distributed information on injury prevention.
