Description:

Jamaica Hospital’s collaboration with the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) is an effort to further the Mayor deBlasio’s Vision Zero initiative in Queens. Our injury prevention coordinator, Alex Ariza, worked alongside Maria Cruz of the DOT to deliver presentations to parents of pre-schoolers throughout the community. Topics covered included pedestrian safety, distracted driving, and child passenger safety. Free child passenger seats were raffled off to the attendees.
