Integrative Oncology

Integrative oncology is a patient-centered, evidence-based approach to cancer care that combines conventional cancer treatments with complementary therapies to optimize health, quality of life, and clinical outcomes. It focuses on the whole person, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, and emphasizes patient empowerment and shared decision-making.
Integrative Oncology combines Western Medicine and traditional cancer treatment with evidence-based, complementary or integrative therapies with the goal of managing patient symptoms, controlling side effects, and improving the state of mental well-being. It works in conjunction with surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation therapy to help your immune system combat cancer, help you recover from treatment, and lower stress levels that can contribute to cancer growth.

Complementary Therapies include:

Acupuncture & Acupressure – Helps relieve pain, nausea, and fatigue.
Aromatherapy – Uses essential oils to reduce stress and promote relaxation.
Massage Therapy – Eases muscle tension and improves circulation.
Meditation & Mindfulness – Supports emotional balance and mental clarity.
Yoga & Movement Therapy – Enhances flexibility, strength, and mood.
Biofeedback – Teaches control over physiological functions like heart rate and muscle tension.
