Dr. Roth is Chairman of the MediSys Health Network Department of Family Medicine, Ambulatory Care and Community Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY. He is also Chief of Integrative Pain and Palliative Care and former Family Medicine Residency Director and Director of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program. Dr. Roth has been trained in Integrative Medicine through completion of The University of Arizona Residency Training Program and is spearheading the development of the Integrative Medicine Program for the MediSys Health Network. Dr. Roth is a practicing and academic Family Medicine and Palliative Care Physician and the recipient of numerous awards including “NY Magazine Best Doctor” as well as being featured in TIME magazine as a Guardian of Healthcare during the COVID -19 Pandemic. He is a Professor of Family Medicine at NYITCOM and Assistant Professor of Social and Family Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Presenting and publishing widely over the course of his extensive career, Dr. Roth consistently advocates for his patients and primary care values as a healthcare leader. His professional areas of interest are vast and include retaining a focus on patients during healthcare transformation, including creating a whole-person advanced primary care model, teaching, integrative health, and health equity.

Dr. Mathew-Geevarughese is a graduate of the NYIT-College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her family medicine residency training at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. She went on to complete a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine Program. She supervises fellows, residents and medical students and enjoys teaching how to deliver quality, compassionate care to people of all ages and walks in life. She has also taken leadership roles as a trained organ donor requester for LiveOnNY, is qualified by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and has been involved in providing palliative services to families struggling after fetal demise. She was promoted to the position of Associate Program Director for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship in July 2019.

Dr. Ehrlich is a Board-Certified Physician in Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. He is a graduate of the Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. Before joining our team, Dr. Ehrlich served as the Director of the Continuum Center for Integrative Medicine in New York City. He is certified in Acupuncture and teaches Yoga, Qi Gong and Meditation.

Dr. Forbes is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Medicine and a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. During this time Dr. Forbes was able to explore her interests in Integrative Medicine with completion of the The University of Arizona Integrative Medicine in Residency Training Program. Dr. Forbes currently works as a Palliative Medicine attending at JHMC and a Family Medicine physician in the community. As a resident of Jamaica, Queens, her passions include community medicine, Integrative health, whole body approaches to care, and empowering patients to develop self-care practices that will directly benefit their overall health.

Dr. Krishna Sindhura Ravipati is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician specializing in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. After completing her residency in Internal Medicine at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, WI, Dr. Ravipati pursued fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, followed by specialized fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Richmond Hill, New York. Dr. Ravipati brings comprehensive expertise in supportive care to patients facing serious illness. Her practice is rooted in a deep commitment to providing compassionate guidance to patients and their families navigating complex medical challenges. Dr. Ravipati's combined background in internal medicine, geriatrics, and palliative care enables her to deliver holistic, patient-centered care focused on enhancing quality of life and honoring patient values during difficult medical journeys.

Dr. Corzo completed his medical education at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. His residency was in Family Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he also went on to complete his Fellowship in Palliative Care. A long-time adopted New Yorker, he is happy to continue to be part of the Jamaica Hospital family as Faculty Attending in Palliative Care. During his time serving the Queens community, he has found it personally rewarding to deliver compassionate care and guidance to under served populations with chronic and terminal illness. Dr. Corzo’s interests also include community medicine, which led him to hold an his additional position as Medical Advisor for Jamaica Hospital’s Care Management programs. These programs provide enhanced outpatient resources to patients in need in order to improve the management of their chronic conditions and protect them from further worsening that may require hospital admission.

Dr. Curtis came to Jamaica Hospital as a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellow in 2023 after completing her Family Medicine Residency as Chief Resident at Bryn Mawr Family Practice. Upon completion of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, Dr. Curtis joined our team as a Supportive Oncology Physician in August 2024.

Dr. Sharma graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at SUNY Downstate where she served as chief resident. She completed her fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Jamaica Hospital in 2021 and has been part of the team ever since. She grew up in Richmond Hill and is dedicated to caring for her community.

Dr. Tregubov earned his Medical Doctorate from Moscow First State Medical University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Coney Island Hospital and pursued a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Upon completion, he joined our team as a Faculty Physician.

Lisa is a Licensed Medical Social Worker, Advanced Certified Hospice & Palliative Social Worker who joined our Palliative care team in 2021. since 2021. Lisa received her Bachelor’s Degree from Molloy University and her Master's Degree from Adelphi University. She has also completed the Educating Social Workers in Palliative and End-of-Life Care (ESPEC) training, a program developed as a Partnership between the MJHS Institute for Innovation in Palliative Care and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Lisa has been an integral member of the team, offering emotional support to individuals and families facing serious illness. She works with patients and their families to address psychosocial concerns, advocates for patients’ needs and links patients and families with community resources and support services. She also offers bereavement and grief support and assists with the advanced care planning and decision-making process.

Narissa is a Hospice and Palliative Care Attending Physician in Flushing Hospital’s Palliative Care Department. Dr. Puran grew up in Jamaica, Queens and is from Guyanese/Indo-Caribbean descent. She completed her undergraduate degree/graduate BS/MS degree at NYU in biochemistry and biomedical engineering and stayed there to complete her Masters in Global Public Health (MPH) , specializing in Immigrant and Migrating Populations. Her interest in global public health led her to Israel to complete her medical degree at Ben Gurion University’s Medical School for International Health, affiliated with Columbia University Medical Center. She was placed in rural Appalachia as part of her medical school global health training and then went on to complete residency training in family medicine at Cornerstone Care Teaching Health Center, in Mount Morris, PA and Morgantown, WV, serving the rural Appalachian patient population. She remained in the area and completed her hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at UPMC Washington Hospital in Washington, PA. She also serves on a board of an NGO, called Friends for Nepal, which she helped to create in 2011, serving rural communities in Nepal. Her research interests include global health outreach, improving access to compassionate end of life care for marginalized populations, and using art and the medical humanities to help enhance medical education, and well-being in the workplace. She feels very blessed to work at Flushing Hospital, and to come back home to serve her home community in Queens, NY.
