CenteringPregnancy Program
Jamaica Hospital’s Women’s Health Center serves a culturally and ethnically diverse community of women who often encounter barriers to care, including limited English language proficiency, insufficient educational resources, and limited access to highly qualified healthcare providers.
To address these disparities, we offer the CenteringPregnancy program, which provides culturally competent prenatal care. This group-based model incorporates patient-centered elements of traditional prenatal care while emphasizing education and shared health experiences among women of a similar gestational age.
The CenteringPregnancy program is one of several initiatives we have implemented to reduce the incidence of chronic health conditions within our patient population and improve maternal health outcomes in our community. To learn more about our CenteringPregnancy program, please click here.
