Lung Cancer

The American Cancer Society states that lung cancer is the second most common cancer in men and women and is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States, with more people dying of lung cancer each year than breast, colon, and prostate cancers combined.
Through early detection the chances of successful treatment increase significantly. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same access to lung cancer screenings.
To help our community, Jamaica Hospital has developed a lung cancer screening program. The screening involves administering a low dose computed tomography (LDCT) to detect lung cancer.
