Smoking is the leading preventable cause of disease, death, and disability in the United States. Cigarette smoking and secondhand smoke exposure cause more than 480,000 deaths each year in the United States, with higher incidences in minority communities.
Jamaica Hospital wants to Help You Quit Smoking. Our smoking cessation team can provide you with the support you need to develop a plan for your “quit day.”
Jamaica Hospital’s Medical Home Department has partnered with the American Lung Association to bring you Freedom from Smoking, a comprehensive and successful group-based smoking cessation program.
