Description
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD or PVD) is a circulatory condition in which narrowed blood vessels reduce blood flow to the limbs. PAD is a sign of fatty deposits and calcium building up in the walls of the arteries; this buildup is referred to as atherosclerosis. This can ultimately in result in blockage of the arteries and can interfere with walking or even can cause limb loss.

Treatment Plan
Medical Treatment: Anti Platelets, cholesterol, reducing medication, blood sugar control or cessation of smoking.
Endovascular Treatment: Minimally invasive, with no open surgery. There are multiple techniques based on the degree of the disease. Including but not limited to ballons angioplasty, stent placement, lithotripsy and more.
Open Surgical Options: Includes supra-inguinal, infra- inguinal bypasses and different other treatment options.
Diagnostic Modalities: Non-invasive Vascular ultrasounds, CTA and conventional angiograms
