Arteries that supply the intestines or the blood flow. Acute involvement results from thrombosis or low flow. Chronic involvement is secondary to atherosclerosis.

Acute Treatment is a medical emergency usually requiring CTA +/- Angiogram & Emergent Surgical Intervention
Chronic Involvement of 2 of the 3 major arteries supplying the intestines can be treated by endovascular treatment by stent or open by surgical bypass.
