Ophthalmology Residency Training Program at JHMC

 

The New York Medical College program at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center offers a three-year ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency program with outstanding clinical and surgical training. The central goal of Jamaica Hospital Medical Center (JHMC) ophthalmology is to provide excellence in medical education, patient care, scientific research, and community service. Residents develop expertise in general medical and surgical ophthalmology as well as all ophthalmic subspecialties including cornea, glaucoma, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular oncology, pediatric ophthalmology, refractive surgery, retina, and uveitis. Residents have the opportunity to train in diverse practice environments throughout Queens and Manhattan, preparing them to pursue opportunities including clinical comprehensive practice, sub-specialty training, medical education, and global health.
