Employee Spotlight Shines on Catherine Conley

This month, we are proud to shine our Employe Spotlight on Catherine Conley who works in the shipping and receiving department at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Catherine began her career with the hospital seven years ago as a medical assistant in the Women’s Health Center and two years ago she moved over to her current position in shipping and receiving.

Catherine was raised in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn where she attended P.S. 132, and J.H.S 126. She continued her education at Queens Vocational Technical School graduating in 1999. She currently resides in Queens. Catherine has one daughter who is 22 years old of whom she is very proud, and a seven year old dog named Harley.

In her free time, Catherine enjoys going for long walks, roller skating, doing yoga and watching action movies. Her favorite movie series are the Transformers which she has seen countless times. Her most recent vacation was  a cruise to Mexico in 2024. She plans on visiting the Dominican Republic and Jamaica next year. Catherine’s favorite foods are Soul, Italian, Spanish, and Caribbean.

Catherine enjoys starting her day by listening to music. She likes many different types of music, especially Pop, Rock, Rap, and her favorite performers are James Brown, Gladys Knight, Marilyn Manson, Kid Rock and Wu Tang Clan.

Family and friends are very important to Catherine. She says that she is very thankful to have positive people in her life. She feels very fortunate to work at Jamaica Hospital because the team of people she works with is phenomenal.  She is always very happy to come to work every morning. We are glad to have Catherine as a member of our staff and we look forward to her continuing to work with us for many more years into the future.
