Internal Medicine Residency Program

Application Information

The Jamaica Hospital Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program is a dynamic 3-year categorical program, offering residents a comprehensive education in one of New York City’s most diverse communities. We are dedicated to training compassionate, skilled, and mission-driven physicians prepared to serve a broad patient population.

We participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), and applications are accepted exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Selection Criteria

Our selection process emphasizes a holistic review of each candidate, considering academic achievements, personal qualities, and alignment with our program’s mission to provide equitable, culturally competent, and patient-centered care. We encourage applications from individuals who are:
  • Dedicated to serving underserved communities.
  • Passionate about learning and professional growth.
  • Committed to contributing to a supportive and inclusive team environment.

Join us in shaping the future of healthcare in one of the most vibrant and diverse areas of the country. Learn more about the program.
