Jamaica Hospital Rehabilitation
At JHMC, our Rehabilitation Counselor provides Behavioral/mental health evaluation and treatment in the acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. The Counselor evaluates an individual’s cognitive/emotional/psychological needs and provides individualized/supportive therapy to help patients and their families cope with their disability. This behavioral therapy helps patients make the most of the rehabilitation process and supports patients with conditions such as anxiety/depression/adjustment difficulty with their mental health needs throughout the stay.
