Jamaica Hospital\u2019s Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department is joining the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance and the American Academy of Otolaryngology in spreading awareness. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>DYK that in the U.S., a new head and neck cancer case is diagnosed every 10 minutes and a person dies from this disease every 45 minutes?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Symptoms of head and neck cancer include:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Change in the voice<\/li><li>A growth in the mouth<\/li><li>A lump in the neck<\/li><li>Problems with swallowing<\/li><li>Bringing up blood<\/li><li>Persistent earaches<\/li><li>Changes in the skin<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Early diagnosis is key to the successful treatment of these types of cancers.
