These symptoms typical go away in a few days, but they may\naffect your ability to participate in your daily activities while you\nexperience them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are experiencing\npain, it is recommended that you talk to your doctor about taking\nover-the-counter medicine, such as ibuprofen, aspirin, antihistamines, or\nacetaminophen. It is not recommended that you take these medicines before\nvaccination for the purpose of trying to prevent side effects, because it is\nnot known how these medications may impact how well the vaccine works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some tips to alleviate\nyour symptoms include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Apply a clean, cool, wet\nwashcloth over the injection site<\/li><li>Use or exercise the arm\nthat received the injection<\/li><li>Drink plenty of fluids.<\/li><li>Dress lightly<\/li><\/ul>\n<p class=\"disclaimer\">All content of this newsletter is intended for general information purposes only and is not intended or implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
