She then graduated from The College of\nSt. Rose where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Sculpture\nand minoring in Art History and Photography. She later received a Master of\nProfessional Studies degree in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from the\nPratt Institute and is now part of their Graduate Art Therapy faculty. Karen is\ncurrently working towards a Doctorate of Art Therapy from Mount Mary\nUniversity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Karen has been living in Brooklyn for almost 16 years and\nshares her home with two cats, Vicky and Trish. In her free time, she enjoys\nwatching movies, playing music, visiting museums and spending time with\nfriends. Travelling the world is also one of her passions; her favorite places\nvisited so far are Chile, Turkey, and India. She likes eating a variety of\ncuisines from different parts of the globe; however, Asian dishes are her\nfavorite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Karen, being of service to others is her true\ncalling. She is grateful to have the support of her department\u2019s administration\nwhich allows her to pursue her passions and research interests.
