To Our Patients,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope that you and your family are\nin good health.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all.\u00a0 Many aspects of our lives have drastically changed, and perhaps nothing has been altered more than the way we manage our health and the health of our family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the outbreak, many of our\nprimary care and specialty providers have remained in communication with and\ntreated our patients via \u201cvideo visits\u201d. Jamaica Hospital will continue to make\nthis service available and encourage you to use it whenever possible, but we\nalso understand that not all healthcare can be provided in this manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we start to recover from the\nCOVID-19 outbreak, Jamaica Hospital is beginning to reopen some services for\nour patients and community.  We\nunderstand that many of these services are vital to your health and are pleased\nto once again offer them to you.  As we\nreopen, we want you to know that your safety is our priority and our hospital\nis taking every precaution to ensure it during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of our measures made\nto protect you include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modified Appointment Schedule \u2013 To\neliminate overcrowding in our patient care areas, we are limiting appointments.\nThis will reduce waiting times and help us manage proper social distancing\npolicies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pre-Registration \u2013 To avoid spending\nunnecessary time in waiting areas, patients will have the opportunity to\ncomplete all paperwork remotely before they arrive.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Screenings – Designated hospital employees\nwill greet all patients and screen them for COVID-like symptoms upon\narrival.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disinfection and Cleaning \u2013 Our team\nremains dedicated to thoroughly and repeatedly disinfecting and cleaning all\npatient care areas in accordance with CDC guidelines. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Limited Companions – For everyone\u2019s safety and to avoid overcrowding, only parents or other required companions are permitted to accompany patients during their appointments.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protective Equipment \u2013 All employees will be wearing the appropriate level of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.\u00a0 All patients will be required to wear a face mask as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working Together \u2013 All patients should monitor their health and report if they have tested positive for COVID-19, come in contact with someone who tested positive or experienced any related symptoms in the last 14 days.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following these safety measures will allow us to deliver the highest-quality, person-centered care to our patients and community. <\/p>\n
