{"id":7032,"date":"2019-10-31T15:31:52","date_gmt":"2019-10-31T15:31:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jamaicahospital.org\/newsletter\/?p=7032"},"modified":"2024-05-09T03:33:48","modified_gmt":"2024-05-09T03:33:48","slug":"employee-spotlight-on-frank-fillorama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jamaicahospital.org\/newsletter\/employee-spotlight-on-frank-fillorama\/","title":{"rendered":"Employee Spotlight on Frank Filloramo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n\n<p>This month we shine our Employee Spotlight on Frank Filloramo, Paramedic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Frank Filloramo is a very familiar face to many people as he has worked in the Pre-Hospital Care Department at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for over 30 years. Frank grew up in Howard Beach, New York and went to elementary school at St. Helen\u2019s, then on to Christ the King for High School, and attended St. John\u2019s University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While working at Jamaica\nHospital, Frank worked for the New York City Police Department as a Sergeant in\nthe Counterterrorism Division. He retired from that position in 2010 after\nhaving served for twenty years. He also worked part time for two years as a\nparamedic for the New York Mets at Citifield. He says it was a great experience\nand he met some very interesting players. In 2017, Frank was one of the\nemployees who went to Puerto Rico as part of Jamaica Hospital\u2019s Hurricane Maria\nrelief effort to the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Frank currently lives in\nConnecticut and has three beautiful daughters, ages 16, 13, and 10 years old.\nThey mean the world to him. In his free time he enjoys cooking with his girls,\nespecially making home-made pizza. Frank says that family is the most important\npart of his life. This is why holidays that involve family gatherings such as\nChristmas are special to him. While his immediate family is his number one\npriority, he values his family at Jamaica Hospital as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Frank enjoys working at Jamaica\nHospital. He says that it is like a second home. The hospital allows Frank to\nlive his dream of helping others and sharing his knowledge with colleagues.
