The National Sleep Foundation recommends the following hours for each age group:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Newborns (0-3 months): 14-17 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Infants (4-11 months): 12-15 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Toddlers (1-2 years): 11-14 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Preschoolers (3-5): 10-13 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 School-age children (6-13): to 9-11 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Teenagers (14-17): to 8-10 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Younger adults (18-25): 7-9 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adults (26-64): 7-9 hours<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Older adults (65+): 7-8 hours<\/p>\n<p>It was also found that adults tend to take longer to doze off, sleep more lightly and wake up more often during the night than children and adolescents.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/jamaicahospital.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/twitter-facebook-icons-458405091.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-3111\" src=\"http:\/\/jamaicahospital.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/twitter-facebook-icons-458405091-217x300.jpg\" alt=\"twitter facebook icons -458405091\" width=\"148\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a>Are you on Facebook or Twitter?
