Seasonal allergic rhinitis or hay fever affects many people who have pollen allergies. About 26% of adults and 19% of children are affected by seasonal allergic rhinitis.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When a person who suffers from seasonal allergies inhales pollen, it causes allergic reactions in the eyes, nose, sinuses, throat, and lungs.\u00a0Seasonal allergic rhinitis can also\u00a0affect those who suffer from asthma,\u00a0a chronic\u00a0condition\u00a0that causes the airways to become narrow and\u00a0inflamed and\u00a0can also cause extra mucus to be produced.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Allergic asthma can be triggered by inhaling\u00a0mold\u00a0spores\u00a0and\u00a0pollen\u00a0from trees, flowers, and grass.\u00a0If\u00a0a person who suffers from asthma\u00a0inhales\u00a0pollen, it\u00a0can cause their airways to narrow\u00a0and\u00a0become swollen, which makes it difficult for them to breathe.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
