The expanded ASU enables the hospital to enhance its surgical services by increasing volume and provides a more efficient and enhanced layout, with a dedicated space for the timely service of elective and same-day<\/span>\u00a0procedures.\u00a0\u201cThe new ASU will allow us to increase our volume and accommodate our growing surgical services to meet the needs of our community\u201d,\u00a0said\u00a0Dr. Antonietta Morisco,<\/span>\u00a0Chairperson of Anesthesiology<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jamaica Hospital\u2019s ASU features four state-of-the-art operating rooms, a spacious admitting and recovery area for patients, and a comfortable waiting area for family members. Patients who have been to the ASU are amazed at how beautiful and modern the facility is and have said they have had a wonderful experience there.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The ASU has\u00a0the latest technology to support minimally invasive surgical procedures,\u00a0highlighted by\u00a0a\u00a0da\u00a0Vinci robot.\u00a0A few of the\u00a0surgical\u00a0subspecialties\u00a0provided\u00a0at\u00a0the ASU\u00a0include\u00a0general surgery, ENT,\u00a0urology,\u00a0orthopedics, podiatry, gynecology, pain management, and pediatrics.\u00a0Jamaica Hospital\u2019s new ASU\u00a0has\u00a0a\u00a0dedicated\u00a0team of doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists,\u00a0and support\u00a0staff.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
