Low physical stamina is associated with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Poor athletic performance<\/li>\n<li>Fatigue<\/li>\n<li>Weight gain<\/li>\n<li>Decreased sex drive<\/li>\n<li>Erectile dysfunction<\/li>\n<li>Difficulty sleeping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>High physical stamina can lead to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increased energy levels<\/li>\n<li>Improved cardiovascular health<\/li>\n<li>Better sleep<\/li>\n<li>Higher sex drive<\/li>\n<li>Improved athletic performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An effective way to build up physical stamina is by doing aerobic exercises and high-intensity interval training (HIIT).<\/p>\n<p>Mental stamina, sometimes called mental toughness, is the ability to handle life\u2019s stresses, perform well under pressure, and maintain focus despite distractions.<\/p>\n<p>Mental stamina has multiple components that can be referred to as the four C\u2019s of mental toughness including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Control: feeling like you are in control of your life, circumstances, and emotions.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment: sticking with your goals even when it gets difficult.<\/li>\n<li>Challenge: viewing potential threats to your success as opportunities instead.<\/li>\n<li>Confidence: believing in yourself and your ability to succeed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Low mental stamina is associated with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Difficulty with daily tasks<\/li>\n<li>Depression<\/li>\n<li>Increased stress levels<\/li>\n<li>Decreased attention span<\/li>\n<li>Irritability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>High mental stamina can lead to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increased attention span<\/li>\n<li>Improved ability to focus on a task<\/li>\n<li>Decreased stress levels<\/li>\n<li>Increase in productivity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are several ways to build mental stamina, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Setting \u201cS.M.A.R.T.\u201d goals- increase mental stamina by setting <strong>s<\/strong>pecific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic, and time-efficient goals.<\/li>\n<li>Find your motivation- focus on \u201cwhy\u201d you are working on a particular task to help motivate you to keep going.<\/li>\n<li>Seek outside support- find people who will support you as you pursue your goals, such as a coach or other people who are pursuing similar goals.<\/li>\n<li>Be positive- maintain a positive attitude about your progress and visualize yourself achieving your goal.<\/li>\n<li>Stay focused- mental stamina depends on your ability to pay attention to a task for an extended amount of time.<\/li>\n<li>Be aware of your environment- remove potential distractions from your environment when working on tasks to help build mental stamina.<\/li>\n<li>Practice stress management techniques- reducing stress can improve mental stamina.
