Residency Program Obstetrics & Gynecology
Application & Selection Criteria
Our program is fully accredited by the ACGME. We participate exclusively in ACGME match through the NRMP. Three PGY-1 categorical and one preliminary positions are available. Applications to the program are accepted only through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). To be considered for an interview, candidates must satisfy the following minimum requirements:
- Complete ERAS application
- Common ERAS Application Form
- Curriculum Vitae
- Three Letters of Recommendation
- Personal Statement
- Medical School Transcript
- Step 1 and Step 2 scores of the USMLE or COMLEX
- Dean’s Letter
- ECFMG Certificate if applicable
- USMLE or COMLEX Board Scores
- Passing score on each section by first attempt preferred
- Graduation from medical school within the last five years and active involvement in U.S. clinical medicine during the past two years preferred
- Eligible to work in the United States as U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or with a J-1 Visa only
- Letters of recommendation from OB/GYN Physicians strongly favored
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals strongly favored
Upon initial application review, qualified candidates will be contacted to set up an interview. If your residency/career interests lie in an urban OB/GYN setting near Manhattan and suburban Long Island, we encourage you to spend some elective time with us during your senior year so that we may get to know each other.
