Rosa Nouvini, M.D.
Dr. Rosa Nouvini is the site director for the cancer program at the Jamaica Hospital campus of the MediSys Health Network where she also sees cancer patients, specifically those with breast and lung cancers. She attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship at SUNY Stonybrook University Medical Center, and was Chief Resident. She is also a medical oncologist at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), a premiere cancer institute in New York City. One of her career focuses is health equity. She believes that regardless of a patient’s economic or cultural background, they deserve high-quality health care.
Dr. Nouvini enjoys getting to know her patients and learning about their cultural backgrounds. For her, treating the person as a whole is very important. This includes understanding their culture, families, mental health, and how they want to live. She incorporates integrative medicine modalities such as meditation, acupuncture, yoga, and nutrition into her treatment plans to enhance the quality of life. She empowers her patients with tools they can use on their own to feel better. It has been a great honor for her to serve the Queens community and she looks forward to continuing to provide high-quality care for those that walk through our doors.
