Jamaica Hospital’s involvement primarily focused on handing out educational literature on Falls Prevention, Gun Violence, Active Shooter, Pedestrian Safety, Home Safety, Stop the Bleed, and interacting with people of all ages from the community one-on-one. Conversations were revolved around the fore mentioned. Students were made aware of the Stop the Bleed training, how it can help save a life by applying pressure, and proper usage of a tourniquet, and the Stroke Department with Abigail Hasan provided information on stroke and performed BP readings for the community.
