Consultation / Liaison Service
The Department of Psychiatry provides 24-hour consultation and liaison services on the medical, surgical, geriatric, pediatric and obstetrical units. Referrals are made by the attending physician and phoned in to the department by the nursing staff. For additional information, please call (718) 206-7167.
Inpatient Psychiatry Services
This 50 bed unit provides psychiatric services by a staff of caring professionals which include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, creative arts therapists, and nurses. Outpatient Psychiatry Services
The Department of Psychiatry�s Mental Health Clinic offers group therapy, individual therapy, medicine management, and other specialty groups to children, adolescents, and adults. Services are available six days a week, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 9:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. For additional information, please call 718-206-7071.
Psychiatric Emergency Department
Our Psychiatric Emergency Department provides acute evaluation and treatment of adults who are experiencing psychiatric symptoms and if necessary, admission to out in-patient unit. Working closely with our medical services, patients can receive the necessary clinical treatments and services so important for positive outcomes. For additional information call (718) 206-7099.
Inpatient Chemical Dependency Unit (CDU)
Our 30-bed Chemical Dependency Unit, located at Flushing Hospital, provides a medically managed detoxification of alcohol and other substances. Services are provided for adults over 18 years old. Highly qualified professionals trained in substance abuse treatment staff the unit. The unit is open 24 hours a day and has an easy and convenient admission process through its Addiction Triage Unit.
